Hospice receives very little funding from government and other agencies, in fact 70% of our annual budget comes from donations and individuals in our community hosting fundraising events.

Planned giving, also referred to as legacy giving, allows you to achieve your philanthropic objective while providing considerable financial support to Alberni Valley Hospice Society.
Can be made in person, online, mailed or made by phone.
If you would like to make a donation in honour of a loved one, an “In Memory” donation is a meaningful and lasting way to pay tribute to their memory.
We accept cash, cheques, debit, and credit cards at our community office.

Tax deductible receipts are issued for donations of $10 or more.

Donate to Canada Helps
We have received donations of appliances, customized office and kitchen equipment and furniture for use at Ty Watson House and our Community Office.
Unique items have been donated to the society for raffle or auction purposes, which allow us to raise valuable funds. Some of the items we have received in the past are: custom built boats, fine art, ocean kayaks, airline vouchers, spa vouchers and stays at luxury hotels.
Cars and vehicles: We receive many calls from donors wishing to donate a vehicle to our society. We greatly appreciate these generous offers but do ask that donors relieve us of the administrative duties and legal transactions regarding the sale and transfer of ownership of the vehicle. We kindly ask that owners find a purchaser, complete the sale and offer proceeds to the society by way of a cash donation.

Monthly Donations Make a Difference.
In place of making one large donation many of our donors prefer to make recurring payments throughout the year. You may deliver your post dated cheques to our office or you can donate online through CanadaHelps.
Donate your bottle return money at the Return-It Depot. Our drop-off code is E090524.
Please drop off your Quality Foods grocery receipts at the donation box located near the Quick Checkout counter at the Quality Foods store on 10th Avenue. When receipts reach $5,000 our friends at Quality Foods donate a gift card valued at $20.00 Donors who earn Q-points will retain their points.
