We've created this beautiful event to give all those who have grieved the loss of a loved one a unique way to include them in your holiday celebration.
Honor the memory of someone you've lost by donating $10 or more and placing a message on our Memory Tree.
Messages are printed and placed on wooden ornaments that will hang on our indoor tree for the entire month of December.
Donate to the event in person at our office, by phone (250-723-4478), or online and receive a tax receipt for your donation.

Our Light Up Hospice event invites all members of our community to enjoy our spectacular holiday display by visiting us day or night at our AVHS Community Office at 2579 10th Avenue.
Our display will be lit up from 8 am – 10 pm daily starting December 1, 2025.
You can support the free grief & bereavement services we offer to the community (including to children and youth) by donating to this annual event.

At Ty Watson House, our main priority is our residents and their family members.
Residents and their loved ones should expect compassion when arriving to or departing from the facility.
To protect the peace and privacy of our clients, we felt it would be insensitive to invite members of the public to a growing fundraising display on the premises.
Ty Watson House continues to be decorated inside and outside for the festive season, for the enjoyment of our residents and their visitors.
Additionally, while Ty Watson House is a partially-fenced property with high-demand parking spots, our Community Office is more accessible to public viewing, situated beside a large park with ample street parking and easy access to the display.
Tax receipts will be issued for any Light Up Hospice donation of $10 or greater through our online store.
Alternatively, you can stop by our Community Office to donate in person at 2579 10th Avenue, Port Alberni, BC, or call our office at 250-723-4478 to donate via credit card or get information about sending a donation by e-transfer.
