Volunteering with Hospice
Volunteers are an essential part of our success in delivering hospice/palliative care programs and services to our community.
Alberni Hospice has a strong reputation for providing excellent volunteers.
They are carefully screened and trained to enhance their skills and abilities. Our volunteers are special people who, directly or indirectly, are able to make a difference in the lives of individuals and their families who are experiencing illness, grief and bereavement.
We rely on our dedicated volunteers sharing their time and skills in the following areas:
Client Support Roles
(advanced screening and training required)
Society Support Roles
We have a large collection of newspaper clippings that need to be added to our scrapbook. This scrapbook is taken to events to be looked through by community members and volunteers. If you are able to help, please contact the office at 250-723-4478 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Fundraising & Gala Committees
Each year, our Black Ty Gala is organized by a special committee of volunteers and staff.
If you're interested in helping with this event, please join us!
Our other fundraising efforts are coordinated by the general Fundraising Committee, who meet monthly to discuss and plan our other fundraising efforts.
If you're interested in helping with our butterfly release, raffles, or other fundraising efforts, please join us! :)
To find out when the next meeting is, please contact Blair in the office at 250-723-4478 or email@example.com
