The house was packed with people of all ages - sneaking goodies and chatting away while we waited for dinner to be served. In the kitchen, staff and volunteers put together appetizers - and sharpened the knives - and generally had a good time. (Who doesn't love the kitchen at TWH? Especially when Gail is there to direct/feed you...)
A table full of appetizers, then a full dinner of turkey, ham, potatoes, stuffing - all the trappings you'd expect of a family feast - topped off with a huge assortment of desserts.
On our way out, we commented on how we wanted to eat more, but were already stuffed. (I had the tiramisu and a lemon tart, but what about the carrot cake, pumpkin pie, brownies, etc.???)
I didn't get together with my parents this year for easter, so it was nice to "come home" to Ty Watson House. :)
