This year's theme is "Debunk the Myths"
In honour of World Cancer Day, we would like to share with you some great resources.
First, check out the World Cancer Day website: http://www.worldcancerday.org/
They have a great section about dispelling cancer myths, an advocacy toolkit, a map of World Cancer Day events, and much more.
The Canadian Partnership Against Cancer has put up a really helpful site called "1 in 3".
In their own words:
"More than 1 in 3 Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. The 1 in 3 blog makes the connection between the latest cancer evidence and what it means in practice. Each month, we turn our attention to a key topic in cancer. We pick it up and we look at it from all angles. We talk to the experts, we examine the data and we curate the web to bring you novel knowledge products, unpacking each topic in the process."

The Canadian Cancer Society is also a great resource, especially a section of their website called "Cancer Myths and Controversies". The site answers questions you may have as a consumer about cancer and the products you use or the food you eat.
