Membership

Annual Membership with the AV Hospice Society costs $10 per person and is open to the public.
Our membership year runs January 1 to December 31, regardless of when membership is purchased.

Benefits of membership:
  • ​Receive quarterly IMPRINTS newsletter by email (or by mail, if requested)
  • Members in good standing are eligible to vote at meetings as applicable
  • Membership numbers show the support of our community for the services we provide

Memberships can be purchased at the Hospice office during regular office hours, over the phone with a credit card, through our website, or by mail with enclosed cheque and membership request.

The AV Hospice Society has been providing compassionate care to the Valley since 1982. Becoming a member of the society gives you a voice toward ensuring that our programs and services continue to meet the needs of our community. 

It is the members who vote at the annual general meeting and elect the Board of Directors. The Board looks for feedback from members and the public so that they can be assured that they are meeting the needs of our community. Even when you don’t have the time to be personally involved, your membership dues support the Society’s programs, services, staff, and volunteers.


Please note, per our bylaws:
  • A person joining the society, or a former member who again joins the society, shall not be entitled to vote at any meeting of the society which is held within one month of the date the required contribution is paid.

AVHS and our programs rely on grants and donations to continue operation.
