National Caregiver Day

National Caregivers Day is April 6th, 2021.

This National Caregiver Day comes at a time when there are much uncertainty and unrest. Whether we know them personally, socially, or professionally, caregivers are often referred to as invisible health partners in our lives. This National Caregiver Day, we hope the caregivers in your life receive the recognition, support, and appreciation they deserve.

For the 8.1 million Canadians, caring for their friends, family, neighbours and loved ones, their experiences are unique and personal. On National Caregiver Day, Carers Canada are showcasing Canadians’ experiences in caregiving; how COVID-19 has impacted caregivers and organizations that support caregivers. This year, supporting Canadian caregivers is more important than ever as the COVID-19 pandemic has created additional pressures, impacting their physical, emotional, and financial health.

The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association is also hosting a screening of The Father in celebration of National Caregiver's Day! Follow the link to register for the screening.
