Dear Volunteers,

On behalf of the Alberni Valley Hospice Society, we would like to thank each of you so much for continuously going out of your way to not only help provide support and care for the clients and residents, but to also provide comfort and compassion to their families and their loved ones.

We are grateful for your time and the generosity you show each day you volunteer.  “You, the volunteer provide the support that helps enhance the quality of end-of-life care.”  You help to provide a non-judgmental place where our clients/residents and their loved ones feel safe to share and express their feelings and emotions while going through a very difficult time.

I’ve had the wonderful pleasure this last six months of getting to know most of you, and during this time I’ve witnessed not only your support for the clients and their loved ones, but also the support, strength, and encouragement you provide to one another and the staff.

We thank you for giving the beautiful gift of your time.  I’m very proud to be a part of this wonderful team!
